Mr. Rakshit Hargave

CEO

Mr. Rakshit Hargave is the CEO of Birla Opus, Aditya Birla Group. With his expertise in the consumer business, he has the experience of working in multiple organisations nationally and internationally. Prior to joining Birla Opus, he was heading the business for Nivea for Asia ANZ and has also handled Africa along with being the MD of India. He had other prominent roles with Unilever, Dominos Pizza and Nestle. He introduced the “30 minutes or free” guarantee for Dominos which revolutionised the delivery sector. He has completed his MBA from FMS, New Delhi and graduated in Electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU.

Himanshu Kapania

Business Head - Birla Opus

Himanshu Kapania is leading Grasim Industries’ foray into Decorative Paint business as ‘Business Head’ for Birla Opus. With over 37 years of work experience in Leadership, Technology, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory & Advocacy, he has worked across verticals like Automobile, Consumer Durables, Telecom, Office Automation, Construction Sectors & Digital Services. He concurrently is the Business Head for Birla White and is on the Board of RAK for White Cement & Construction Materials, UAE. He is also the Non-Executive - Vice Chairman of Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Limited and Non-Executive Director on the VIL Board. Himanshu is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and BIT Mesra. Currently, he is Chairman of FICCI Council on ‘Telecom, Electronics and Digital Economy’ and ‘FICCI Task Force on Privacy and Data Security’.

Mr. Ajith Kumar

COO

Mr. Ajith Kumar is the COO at Birla Opus. He has 31 years of rich leadership experience, having worked with Asian Paints for more than a decade, he has also worked with ICI Paints (Akzo Nobel) for 16 years in various roles.
Ajith is a technical expert with a deep understanding of the paint manufacturing operations. Prior to joining Birla Opus, he was the Manufacturing Operations Head for the Paints & Coatings business at Akzo Nobel India, where he was overseeing five plants located across the country. He was instrumental in bringing new technology in paint manufacturing across globe and has also led some of the green field projects for Akzo Nobel.
A trained six sigma black belt, Ajith is a postgraduate from Government Engineering College, Jabalpur and has done a 1 year MDP program- Emerging Leader from IIM Calcutta and Leadership next - Global Business Leadership Programme from IIM Ahmedabad.

Shantilal Dugar

CFO

Shantilal Dugar is the CFO for Birla Opus and has been working with Aditya Birla Group in various pivotal positions for last 32+ years in India, Thailand and Australia. In his current role, he handles the financial strategy and business planning for Birla Opus. While he masters in corporate finance, cost and management accounting, mergers & acquisitions, developing MIS, insurance & risk management, investors relations, legal matters and handling logistics and commercial contracts negotiations, he also aces in equity research, security evaluation and portfolio management. Shantilal joins Birla Opus from Grasim's Chlor Alkali and Viscose Filament Yarn business where he was the CFO. He has completed Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), Company Secretary (ACS) and Master of Commerce in Accountancy & Business Statistics (M.Com- ABST). Shanti has also authored several books on Finance, Investment, Costing, Risk management and Inspirational topics

Inderpreet Singh

Head – Marketing

Inderpreet Singh is the Head – Marketing at Birla Opus. At Birla Opus he endeavours to build a world class organization with consumer at its heart; to earn the love of every Indian. He has 21+ years of experience in building organizations, scaling nascent categories & leading established businesses’ in FMCG, Consumer durables, Home Décor & Retail across South Asia, Southeast Asia, China & Latin America. Having completed his graduation from Delhi University, Inderpreet did his MBA from IIM Calcutta and proceeded to work with Hindustan Unilever for 15 years and for 4 years with Mondelez thereafter, before joining Birla Opus.

Srikanth SK

Head – Consumer Experience

Srikanth SK is the Head – Consumer Experience at Birla Opus. Srikanth has 17+ years rich expertise in the decorative paints industry working with Asian Paints in the past; where he has led end-to-end management of three business verticals: Wallpapers, Adhesives and Textures. He has also previously led Interior Emulsions portfolio, managing iconic brands like Asian Paints ‘Tractor’, ‘Apcolite’ & ‘Royale’. Srikanth has completed PGDM from IIM Lucknow and has a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Surbhi Gupta

Head - Digital

Surbhi Gupta, works as the Digital Head at Birla Opus. In her current role, she is responsible for building a digital-first organization that is future ready, cost efficient, driven by proactive & real time decision making, excellence in process, and superior customer experience.
An innovation and technology leader with more than 17 years of experience Surbhi has been responsible for digital and tech transformation across industries to deliver value at scale. She has worked for leading organizations like Cognizant, Unilever, ACC, Ambuja and is currently with Aditya Birla Group.
She is an alumnus of MDI, Gurgaon from where she completed her Masters in Business Administration in 2006
Under Surbhi’s leadership, Birla Opus is well set on its path for technology leadership and disrupting traditional paradigms via leveraging technologies like artificial intelligence, IoT, predictive analytics, AR/VR, edge computing and intelligent automation.

Ashish Jajoo

Head - Sales

Ashish Jajoo, is the Head Sales at Birla Opus. In his current role, he leads all the sales channels along with sales commercial areas covering warehousing and logistics management.
Ashish has worked for over 22 years in sales, marketing, and P&L domains across Asian Paints, ABFRL and Grasim Industries
An alumnus of FMS, Delhi, he completed his MBA in 2001.
Under Ashish’s leadership, Birla Opus prepared a strong groundwork for the launch with validation and connection with all key dealers, painting contractors and other customers. This has been led by building an industry leading sales team across channels over past 2 years. An impressive backend work has been done to service the dealers covering warehouse network.
Ashish has completed Cutting Edge leadership programme of ABG in association with Cedep, Fontainebleau

Girish Rao

Head - IT

Girish Rao is designated as Vice President, Information Technology and his current role is Head-IT. He is a graduate and has done various IT certifications.

He worked in Future Group as Group CIO for 3 years and has worked for 24 years in 2 stints in Marico Ltd. He has core expertise in setting up green field project with Marico, SAP implementation, sales and marketing IT systems, vendor integration etc.

Gautam

Head - HR

Gautam is the Head- HR at Birla Opus. In his career spanning over 25 years in HR, Gautam led a variety of assignments that requires conceptualization, design & implementation of various HR Policies & Processes and worked as core team in implementation of SAP, PeopleSoft technologies & change management processes. He has worked across industries from Engineering, Dot-com to Agrochemicals before joining Aditya Birla Group.
Working with Aditya Birla Group for over 19 years; was part of Core team of Project Poornata, Head HR – ABMCPL & ABSTC, GCOE – JAE Group HR , Head HR – Century Cement, Head Performance, JAE & Staffing at Ultra Tech Cement Ltd.
He is Post Graduate from Symbiosis Pune, certified Coach from TWP Singapore, OD Certification from NTL institute, USA. Gautam has received prestigious Symbi- Ranta Award & Aditya Birla Group Chairman’s – Distinguished Achiever Award

5. USER OF COOKIES

Product Warranty

Terms and Conditions for product warranty registration of Birla Opus products



  1. The Warranty shall be effective from the date of purchase of the Product as per the tax invoice (“Warranty Start Date”), provided that painting work is fully complete, and the Consumer registers the Product for warranty.

  2. The Product must be registered within 15 days from the date of purchase by calling customer care at 18001201234 or registering on www.birlaopus.com and furnishing purchase details as required during the Warranty registration.

  3. The Warranty shall be valid for parameters and period as defined in the respective product warranty document (‘Warranty Period’) from the Warranty Start Date. 

  4. Upon settlement of any claim, Warranty of replaced Product will not start afresh, and will continue for the remainder of the Warranty Period from the Warranty Start Date.

  5. If there is a break/ lag in completing the painting work, the registration of the Warranty and Warranty Start Date will be determined by the Company at its sole discretion.

  6. The Company may appoint a person to examine and confirm the application of the Product as per the directions specified prior to registering the Warranty.

  7. For registering of Warranty, where quantity of Product purchase is equal to or more than 200 litres, please call our Helpline on 1800 120 1234 with requisite details. The registration of Warranty in such cases is subject to a satisfactory pre‐inspection at site by Company’s representative.

  8. For the warranty to be applicable:
    1. Minimum volume of the product required to be purchased needs to be met
    2. Birla Opus recommended system needs to be used
    3. Product coverage and application guidelines need to be adhered
       

For more details, please refer to respective  product specific warranty document and product information sheet.

  1. Consumer may raise a claim within 30 days of discovering issue(s) noticed on the affected areas based on Warranty Parameters/ scope

  2. The Consumer is required to notify the Company of the issue(s) noticed along with the invoice details, sample pictures and basis for Warranty invocation by contacting the customer care at 1800 120 1234. The Consumer shall provide such additional details as required by the Company and/or allow the Company to visit/inspect the painting site either in portion or entirety at the Company’s discretion.  

  3. In case where the Company decides that the Warranty is applicable on the issue(s) noticed on the affected areas, the Company shall bear the Replacements Costs as detailed in respective product warranty document to repair/ repaint the affected areas.

  4. Replacement Costs shall mean the cost of material and labour required to correct the affected portions, as determined by the Company.

  5. In case where the Company decides that Warranty is not applicable, the same shall be communicated to the Consumer.

  6. Warranty is applicable only to the affected area where the Product is used in accordance with application guidelines and not to the rest of the areas.

  7. In case the Consumer carries out repair works on the areas covered under the Warranty, the same shall be at their own risk and the Company’s Warranty on the Product shall not be valid on such repaired areas.

  8. The Warranty will cover only manufacturing defects of the Product and will not cover any defects arising out of factors not in control of the Company. For more details of exclusions, please refer to the warranty document of respective product. 

  9. Except expressly stated, the Company disclaims any liabilities whether in contract, tort or otherwise. The Company makes no warranty regarding merchantability or fitness of products for any particular purpose. 

  10. The Company shall not be held liable towards loss or damages of incidental, indirect or consequential nature or for any value more than the tax invoice value. 

  11. In case of any disputes, exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai shall apply. Governing laws shall be Laws of India.

  12. The facts and all matters concerning any Warranty/ claim/ dispute will always be kept confidential by both the Consumer and the Company.
